Things to Do Near Shell Park

From the rock where Vivekananda meditated to the point where three seas meet — almost everything worth seeing in Kanyakumari is a short ride from our door.

Within Minutes

Right Around the Corner

Shell Park sits in South Kundal, a quiet residential pocket just off the main Kanyakumari road — close enough to the town's landmarks that most of them are a five to ten minute auto-rickshaw ride away, and a couple are walkable.

Vivekananda Rock Memorial

A short ferry ride from the mainland takes you to the rock where Swami Vivekananda is said to have meditated in 1892. The memorial has two main structures — Vivekananda Mandapam and Shripada Mandapam — plus a meditation hall.

Planning Tip

Best Time to Visit

October to March is the most comfortable stretch, with cooler air and clearer skies. November to February in particular gives the sharpest views for sunrise and sunset over the three seas — and is also when Kanyakumari is at its busiest, so it's worth booking your suite a little ahead.
